Drive scans run locally and do not change your files.
Browser & app caches
Supported cache folders in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox, and supported desktop apps such as Discord, Slack, Notion and Spotify. Keep the relevant app closed during cleanup.
Browser passwords, bookmarks and history are outside the cache allowlist. App settings, sessions and downloaded media are excluded from supported desktop cache cleanup.
AI apps
Supported cache folders for apps including Codex, Cursor and Ollama’s Windows GUI. Close the relevant app before cleaning.
Downloaded models, projects, conversations, credentials and settings are excluded. A cache cleanup is not an app reset or uninstall.
System data
Eligible Temp files, app crash dumps, thumbnail previews, archived error reports and system crash dumps. Temp files and app crash dumps must have been created and last modified at least seven days ago.
Supported Windows-managed categories include graphics shader cache and update delivery files. Some operations require administrator approval. Locked, changed or unsupported files are skipped.
Recycle Bin
Review the estimated size and explicitly confirm before emptying. The app never empties your Recycle Bin automatically.
Emptying permanently removes current contents, including items added after the scan. Restore anything you need before confirming.
